Outputs

IO5 Piloting & Testing Guide Here you will be able to find the Intellectual Outputs (IO) of our project.

IO1 - State of the Art - National & Combined International Respect4 Reports

This is the partners preparation research to give a useful background for the next outputs. It focuses on the educational system[s] in partner countries with special attention to counselling activities and conditions that students have to meet if they want to study in a foreign partner country. You will find links to websites that contain useful information and how educational systems deal with Respect themes and non-formal education.

IO2 - Respect4 Poster Campaign

This output will give a visual impact to our project and help to define clearly what our project is about. This is not a dissemination product, but rather the visual representation of powerful messages presented in an accessible but alternative format. This output will deal with topics designed to make the viewer[s] reconsider what they previously thought, and maintain a sustained impact about the key Respect4 topics.

IO3 - Training Course - Respect4 Soft Skills - Combined Guide

This course will be based on our research, and will focus on soft skills and how to instruct and prepare 'mediators' among teachers and students in each partner school. The course will also prepare the steps and offer the methodology for the instructional video as well as the good practice example guide for counselling classes.

Students will develop the materials with guidance from the teachers and staff, and this will be cascaded to the international partners during the partner meetings. During the training activities all partners will contribute to a successful set of instructions for the instructional video and ways to cascade the information to peers, professionals, other teacher and students.

IO4 - Instructional Video Respect4 Becoming a Mediator

Each partner will produce an instructional video on the subject of how to train mediators among teachers and the student group. The video will consist of the necessary steps for training mediators and how to conduct a mediation session, as well as scenario examples of a mediated conflict situation. The videos can be in the mother tongue to address local and national schools who will be beneficiaries of the material. If deemed appropriate the video can contain subtitles in English in order to address the wider international community. A scenario can be acted out and recorded, with additional guidance for teachers to use the materials in their classroom based activities.

We intend to use Youtube to share the materials and have created a Youtube channel you can visit and follow by clicking here >>>

Or you can visit the Video Page by clicking here >>>

Respect4 Videos

Steps can include video storyboard, templates, and an outline to be shared with the partners before starting work on the video. The theoretical aspects will be used from the O3 training. Videos will be also uploaded or embedded on the website, and for a bigger impact Youtube can be used.

IO5 - Respect4 Piloting Training testing

The piloting consists of refining and passing on the Respect4 information gained during the training course and the instruction video outputs. Thus the initial beneficiaries will be 2 x staff and 2 x students from each partner school (= 16 teachers + 16 students)

These will pilot the methods and training with 2 x further teachers and 2 x students each in the first piloting round and further refine the materials (Giving a total of 32 indirect teachers and 32 indirect students trained)

Further piloting rounds will mean that the indirectly trained teachers will train another 2 x teachers giving a total of 8 x teachers per institution x 8 schools = a total of 64 teachers

Trained learners will be a total of 64 (under the guidance of the direct beneficiaries.)

IO6 - Respect4 Good Practice Guide

The Guide for Counselling classes will be written throughout the project and is the culmination of the previous outputs and materials. It will be divided into the key Respect4 chapters.

  • Respect4 Well-being
  • Respect4 Freedom
  • Respect4 Culture
  • Respect4 Environment

Two schools are responsible for one chapter, meaning they will have to gather the material from all the other partners and work together.

Each partner will have to:
1. Coordinate or jointly coordinate one chapter
2. Contribute to the other chapters from a national point of view
3. Develop an innovative lesson plan for each topic which can include pedagogic strategies, handouts, tests, quizzes etc.
We consider this OER of great value and use for all form teachers, especially for ones that are at the beginning of their teaching career.
